Concern for Husband

Bob is doing well with dialysis physically, but has trouble with sleep apnea and restlessness. He has many things to handle. We are working as a team, but he does get low. Yesterday was one of those days.

Today I am trying to bolster his spirits and give him time for rest. We will have dinner after my exercise class around 7 pm. He will be able to sleep and read.

I know that you are doing a great job, taking care of your husband.

    My husband has the sleep apnea and the problems it creates. I know that does cause depression or at least something near to depression. You're taking good care of Bob though-you're a very good wife!

    I have sleep apnea too... annoying and exhausting when you cant get good quality sleep--I don't remember if he's on PD or hemodialysis... can he sleep through the dialysis? I know a few people who do that with their hemo... they are reclining instead of lying down, so it helps the breathing issues for some folks. Try elevating the bed a bit at home, maybe...?
