Concern for Husband

Wednesday, January 02, 2013

Bob is doing well with dialysis physically, but has trouble with sleep apnea and restlessness. He has many things to handle. We are working as a team, but he does get low. Yesterday was one of those days.

Today I am trying to bolster his spirits and give him time for rest. We will have dinner after my exercise class around 7 pm. He will be able to sleep and read.

I'll be praying for you both.

I know that you are doing a great job, taking care of your husband.

Please remember to take care of you, as well. It will be beneficial to both of you, in the long run. emoticon

So sorry to hear, Sandy! Is he on a breathing machine? I know it's probably scary for you, too, listening for his breathing....

My husband has the sleep apnea and the problems it creates. I know that does cause depression or at least something near to depression. You're taking good care of Bob though-you're a very good wife!

I have sleep apnea too... annoying and exhausting when you cant get good quality sleep--I don't remember if he's on PD or hemodialysis... can he sleep through the dialysis? I know a few people who do that with their hemo... they are reclining instead of lying down, so it helps the breathing issues for some folks. Try elevating the bed a bit at home, maybe...?

Hope things smooth out for you both soon.
