Welcome 2013

Wednesday, January 02, 2013

Well a new year has officially begun. Many people are making new years resolutions and the number one resolution is weight loss. Well I'm not making that my resolution. It's shouldn't be a New Year's Resolution, it should be a New Life Resolution. I mean, let's face it, 99% of people's resolutions are null and void by April. But as of today, I am changing my life. I will not focus on weight loss this year. It has been proven that the harder I try to lose weight, the more I gain. I lost the most weight when I wasn't even really trying. I just didn't think about it. And guess what?? I lost 30 lbs!! Now that was a few years ago. I have, unfortunately, gained it back and a little more. I am going to get back to that mindset though. It's just depressing to always think about your weight. There are so many other great things happening in my life that I would rather think about, so that's what I'm gonna do. I am going to continue to workout more and eat healthy, but my life is not going to revolve around that. I am almost 30 years old and I want to have some fun and enjoy life. I spent most of my 20's wishing I was a thinner and that was all I could really think about. My 30's are going to be different. I would rather be slightly overweight and happy and be having fun than be skinny and miserable.
