A new year - a new me!

2013 - Wow! I guess it seemed like 2012 just began and here we are in another new year. Will this be the year I finally lose that weight?? Nope, not it that's my attitude. Let's try that again...

THIS is the year I will lose that weight once and for all!!!

How was that? I have a number of things to work on this year - personally, professionally and health and fitness are all on my list. I have taken the first steps... I reset my weight ticker, joined a challenge, started tracking my food today and have almost gotten my 8 glasses of water in. I did a 25 minute workout at home yesterday, and went to the gym today for a full fledged hour of hard work. I KNOW how to do this. I know WHY to do this. I am going to do it!!! And I am going to be accountable here. My initial goal is 13 pounds in 13 weeks. My goal for the year is modest - 30 pounds. Since I need to lose 50 or maybe 60, 30 is not a stretch objective. When I end the year down 30 pounds I will be proud. If I end the year with a greater loss, I will be ecstatic.

I'll keep you posted on my progress and my battles...

Don't wish me luck... Wish me strength and perseverance!
