Goals, Resolutions, Christmas decorations

Wednesday, January 02, 2013

Someone pointed out to me that Resolutions and Goals aren't really the same.....resolutions are more quickly and easily forgotten, while goals are something you keep, and keep on aiming towards. I like her thought. : )

I've recently joined 2 teams, one is the Knitters team and we're doing a stash-busting challenge this month. The second one is the January Jumpstart Challenge (I think I left out a word there). I've only done 2 days of that, and BOY! is it ever a challenge! That's good.

DH and I finally got the last of the outdoor Christmas decorations taken down and put away today. Then I took all the ornaments off the indoor tree and packed them away. DH took the lights and tree apart and all that is in the basement. Since we bought some plastic totes this year, I have yet to transfer some fragile things into one, out of the old, old cardboard boxes. I'll feel so much better about them being safe.

I also put all the Li Bien ornaments in another tote, and as I pointed out to DH, now we have lots of room (in it) for lots more Li Bien. He wasn't nearly as amused as he should have been. emoticon

I had a hugely-full inbox in my email, and am still trying to work that in. But I really must work more on busting my stash of yarn! Fortunately, we aren't planning to go anywhere the rest of today.

Love you all, my Spark Friends, and I hope you are doing well. Those of you who are sick: QUIT IT! I hope you get well quickly. : )

You are doing so good for having not felt well. I am amazed at how you have soldiered on. I do a little bit and have to sit down and rest and then get up and go again, but I too am making progress! I managed to clean out files today, but our shredder bought the big one sooo have to go buy another one to shred some things. This last time we bought a better one-like $150 and it only lasted a couple of years and we even made sure we did the lube sheets after every session! Gonna go back to a cheapie and won't feel so bad if it only lasts a couple of years!!

That is something I must do too, yet, is take down the tree and decorations.

Good for you on doing the Jumpstart Challenge!! I'm sure that will step your fitness up. I like the knitting one, too. You can't eat when you are knitting because you'll get crumbs or drips all over your precious work. So knitting is good for healthy, too.

I've got most of my Christmas stuff down now, but not as good as you. Will go catch up right now!!!

Enjoy your days. Regards, Marsha

I like the idea of resolutions and goals being different. The goal being the result, the resolution something you change to get to the goal.
Good luck with your challenges, I am off to take down my tree (you've inspired me!)
