Man! Getting back into my runs is HARD! I had planned to use my 5K app, but then I remembered my Galloway 10K app has a beginner mode, so I decided to do that.
I set it up for 11-min. mile pace, with a 4 min. run/1 min. walk pattern. OMG! NOT!!! My chest hurt! I had to dial it back to 12 min. pace and a 3/1 ratio. It continues for 25 minutes. So I survived it. That was Monday. Today was even harder, getting down to the treadmill to do it. But I did. I repeated the workout. My chest didn't hurt, but now my legs are getting tired so fast!
I envy my August self! But I know where she is, and I'm going to catch up to her. I absolutely refuse to lose her.
Friday is my long, slow run, 5.5 miles. Hm. We'll see!
