My goal for this week was to cut out white carbs but when I got up and made coffee for DH I decided to make a pot of tea for myself instead of having my usual 2 mugs of coffee in the morning.
My breakfast: green smoothie, eggwhites, chia seeds, strawberries and spinach with a sprinkle of ginger
Mid morning snack: grapefruit and mandarin mix. The 2nd lot of grapefruits our guy gave us weren't the wonderful ruby reds we got last time but great all the same.
Lunch was grilled salmon with a big spinach salad topped with citrus mix, pecans, mushrooms and a little feta cheese
Mid afternoon is my "danger zone" when I get the munchies. I battled them with 3 tictac mints over the afternoon (instead of the usual handful!) and 1/4 cup of almonds. I made another pot of tea, Earl Grey this time to ward off the caffeine withdrawal headache (so far so good!)
For dinner I scrambled 2 eggs with 1 oz chorizo sausage - I need some spice!
All in all the day was a success: no white carbs and no coffee!
Today's meals will be pretty much the same :)
