Despite being sick, I did 17 minutes on the treadmill yesterday, and added in 10 minutes of heavy housework. For two hours afterward, I felt marvelous! But once those two hours were up, I was back to feeling puny again. I think if I keep up the pace of working out for at least 15 minutes a day on the treadmill while I'm sick, I can finally kick this and move on to something like my latin dance workout DVD.
As for food, I was bad at breakfast, polishing off the rest of the cookies that were sitting on the counter. The nice thing is that I did make them from a recipe on here and they were not too high in calories. At dinner, I had a Naked Fajita Ranchera Burrito loaded with grilled veggies from Q'doba. It was yummy, but not nearly enough in calories to bring me up to my minimum for the day...or even the recommended minimum of 1200. You see, being sick is making it hard for me to even want to eat and when I do, it is almost like another complete workout just to get it down. Maybe that's the key to losing weight, having a bad cold that makes it difficult to eat! LOL!
I know you're not supposed to weigh yourself everyday, but I did it anyway. I am down a whole pound so far this week. If I keep up this pace, I might be down 4 by the weekend. Woohoo!!!!
So, with that, despite being sick, I'm excited to be getting back on track with my fitness routine and healthy dietary choices.
