Well, I made it through the holiday season and I tried to stay on track but I gained four pounds. Each morning I started off strong, but by late afternoon I gave in to "just one" little treat here and there. Those mini-cookies, chocolates and nuts really added up over the past ten days. It's time to turn it around and get back into the groove. If I stick to my plan I could be at my goal weight by March 1st!
This week's FFF challenge put me in touch with some great meal planning tools that I didn't even know about. I feel inspired to put some fun new meals on the supper table for my family and I've recommitted to getting (and staying) healthy in 2013!
The bonus challenge for this week is to take a look at how you're doing with the Spark Streaks from week seven. Well, I am at 60% on both. I didn't realize how many days I miss spinning the points wheel. I'm going to put that on my to-do list when I get up each morning. My other streak is to get at least 120 minutes of exercise each week. I have to admit that I've been making excuses for this one. Most of my exercise takes place outdoors and the weather has indeed been crappy but I can't let that stop me for the rest of the winter or else I'll end up sitting on my backside until May! It's time to get moving...I need to do whatever it takes to get my minutes in!
I'm so glad that I joined this challenge, and it's nice to be part of something that was already well underway before the new year started. I'm all for resolutions but every year I see so many people join at the beginning of January and then disappear three weeks later. The active members of the Bahama Mamas team are an ongoing inspiration. You girls kick ass!
Big hugs and best wishes for a fun and healthy new year!
