a new year begins...

Wednesday, January 02, 2013

the month is getting off to a slow start, but perhaps that is just what we need after the hectic holiday period, with a house filled with guests. DH and i are both struggling with colds, mine on the wane, his just starting, so for the first time our mileage is down. and it is sooo cold; yesterday the temperature dropped below 0 - not really conducive for long walks or uns, though we would have done so, had we been healthy. but the dogs still need to get out, and there is nothing like watching two border collies racing down a wintry road in sparkling sunshine under a clear blue sky.

miles walked: 2.7
steps: 8714

I know what you mean about temps. Too cold takes some of the fun out of it but sometimes I like the briskness. Keep up the good work.

Oh how I miss the joy of walking my dogs. Snowy winter walks were a favorite, too. Enjoy every minute with your pooches. They are precious friends.

Feel better, too!

Hope you feel better soon. It was so cold that I dragged out my DVDs and did dance tapes. Hope it warms up soon.

I am in Hawaii where everyone is freezing at 72 degrees..LOL.

It may be good to slow down after the hectic holidays.

Give your bodies some rest and you will be back at it in no time. Happy New Year! I'm loving your pictures of snow. We haven't had any yet and that is so unusual.

Feel better soon! Beautiful picture. I ran a short 2.7 yesterday and it was 3 degrees. I dressed too warm! It's amazing how quickly your body adjusts. Most people think its colder than it really is.

Below 0? You're one tough woman, but you do have that beautiful view to inspire you. Hope you feel better soon.

according to you, they say in Sweden that it cannot be too cold, it's only that you didn't dress right. didn't you keep telling me that last winter? (from Molokai??!!!). hope you & C feel better fast. also back at work. with no weekend in sight. hugs.
