I have been with Cracker Barrel for almost 2 years now and have never once had anything bad happen, proof of that being that I recieved a fairly good tip of 20 dollars from a guest tonight.
I was cleaning a table and my manager said to me after I was done that a guest had left a 20 dollar bill on the table and he (my manager) said the guest said it was for me.
I asked if I was allowed to keep it and my manager said yes as long as it wasn't meant for anyone else.
So I made 20 dollars today.
Anyway, that is not what concerns me and why I am writing this blog....I have a problem that I need help with and am wondering if I need to contact my employee relations department through Cracker Barrel.
Tonight before I got clocked in to work my shift, I had the very strange experience of having one of the cashiers ask me for my confidential employee ID number. And not knowing why she wanted it I did not question it and gave it to her.
As I was leaving after my shift, she had told me before this happened to go see her and I forgot to. I have since that incident called and talked with my main manager and he said he would investigate the occurrence.
I am wondering if I should also do one of two things. One is to confront this person and ask why she wanted my ID number as my manager said they are unique to each employee or two is to call employee relations.
