New beginnings, blessings bound. I greet the New Year with gladness. I spent the day quiet and in reflection of goals and wishes to accomplish this year. I am challenging myself to think big, outside the box, step out of my comfort zone and face any fear head on! I was able to send New Year greetings to family and friends and begin to plan my workouts and focus on my future.
This is from Sunday, when I made my delicious catfish nuggets. I am challenging myself for the next 90 days not to have any fried foods. Yes, today is day one and I started my New Years eating plan with some fiber (black eyed peas) and some baked salmon, roasted beets and butternut squash. Healthy choices and filing. I started reading up one of my WW books that gives easy power food recipes that do not look so intimidating. Another goal is to make at least two recipes a week from one of my numerous cookbooks.
I am getting my workout regime in gear, now that I am not in school. I can make this a habit, it takes 21 days to get into my system. I am looking around my birthday to be ready for a 5k in full force. I am too tired of reading of everyone else success in a year. I know I can do this and it will be done. No excuses, just sweat
Baka is always following me, looking adorable. She just turned ten on Christmas and wishes everyone a Happy New Year also. Hez was off somewhere doing his thing, not wanting to be bothered with posing for the camera.
