New Year - New Me (or so goes the idea)

I ate very bad yesterday and today was the sequel. We hosted our church family for New Years Eve and spent like 150 smackers on party food. And then the flu went around and only about 7 people came. So there was a TON left over today. I would've felt guilty either way, i tell you! We put a good dent into all of it and tomorrow we'll take it to the meeting and GET RID OF IT!
So tomorrow is a new day. I am ready to detox off the junk. Back to my healthy ways. I have tomorrow and Thursday off and then Friday I start back so hopefully i can get organized and focused and be ready to go back to work fully in the zone. The kids also will be back at daycare. It will be nice to have a bit of a break. We never ever ever ever get a babysitter. The only time I'm away from my kids is while I'm at work. So I'm planning to celebrate this free time with lots of cleaning and organizing and meal planning. The christmas tree is undecorated and ready to be hauled away. And then I'm going to take my brand new floor steamer cleaner thing for a test drive. The thrills never cease. Please tell me you all have one and they work miracles on your linoleum floor. I need this to be true.
And tomorrow we're going to join the Y. Woohoo!! I'm really excited!! I hope I can work up enough self confidence to do all the things I want to do like go to zumba and try spinning. I really wish I could get some new running shoes but i guess I'll have to wait till tax time for that. I wonder if running on the treadmill will be any easier on my calves. I guess i can put up with it for another month or so. I hope I will make myself go even though I'm working. I obviously don't want it to be a waste of money. I think that it could be the push that I really need right now. Right now I feel pretty motivated to get back on track. Hope it sticks around for awhile! I may not be hitting my goal when I first started out to but I'm definitely gonna make 2013 my most healthy year possible.
My main goal is to get to my healthy BMI this year which should be more than doable. I'd really like to be there by May.
I'd also like to run a 5k this year. I want to get my time around 30 min before I sign up. I'd probably settle for 35.
