Never went on trip

Tuesday, January 01, 2013

Well, my dad and I never went on our trip to Minnesota. Interstate 35 and Interstate 380 north of Iowa City were closed and those are two interstates we would of taken on our trip. We found out through my sister-in-law in Minnesota that Interstate 35 was closed all the way through Iowa. She found out from her mom who was driving up from Dallas, Texas, with my sister-in-law's stepdad and half sister. So we're going to wait until May when my grandniece Katelynn (who turns 8 months on this coming Monday) turns one on May 7th.

Well, we don't have a cat anymore. We had him put down by a different vet because he was wild and according ot the vet none of his organs including brain wasn't growing right. About the size of a kitten. The gal that we got him from is accusing me of abuse because we kept in his pet taxi for longer than we were saying. Most days he would be in there for 5 hours. On days we would be gone for longer than that it would be 6 or 7 hours. She said that she's going to turn me in to the Humane Society or Animal Rescue. Only problem is is that she doesn't have a case because what I didn't abuse him and she gave him up when she gave him to us. I have a lot of support from friends and family that say that I don't do what she says that I do. One of my mom's brothers to tell her to go to he**. I don't think that I have the guts to tell the mayor's wife to do that. My cat Bob Harper was 19.5 months old.

My dad's oldest brother's wife has been in the hospital for almost a month now. First it was 2 heart attacks and a stroke and now she's on dialisys. She had to be transfered from one hospital to another for what's she's doing now. They had to take a quart of fluid off of her lungs and heart before she was transferred from one hosptial to another. She is having memory problems right now. One moment she'll remember you and the next she doesn't.

Yesterday I finished making a prayer shawl in a pale green for a friend of mine who lost a daughter back in September. Green stands for healing, harmony, saftey, hope, protection, and peace. I'm making another one now in the same color (got more than I needed) for a friend of mine here in town. She lost her husband almost a year ago. I'm hoping to get it done before 3 weeks from this coming Sunday. Her birthday is that day.

Happy New Year!!!

I would love to see a picture of your prayer shawls. That is a wonderful idea and I'm always looking for new projects.
