Another year is starting. Another chance for a do-over. I love New Year's Day, and I love SP for having so many resources available to us. It's just a matter of staying on track, once and for all......
I haven't done nearly as much activity-wise as I would like to have done. No excuses, just an inherent laziness and ability to be easily distracted. Plus--I hate to sweat because it takes me forever to cool back down to a normal temperature!! Must look for information about this....
I recently talked with a friend that I hadn't seen in several months--she had lost quite a bit of weight and looks AMAZING!! She asked me if I had kept up with my bike riding, and I told her that I hadn't, but recently bought a dual trainer (combination elliptical/exercise bike) and am enjoying using it. I mentioned something like "I should sign up for a 5k", and she told me about the Las Vegas Color Run, and that she and a few of our other friends were doing this in February. I went ahead and signed up for it--it's February 16!!! OhmiGOSH!! That's a month and a half away!! Good thing this is non-competitive. or I would be in BIG trouble!! So, looks like I am committed to this....
I am also committing to a few other things. SP is an amazing community of wonderful, encouraging people--plus great information and tracking devices for us to gauge our progress. I am committing to being a better me in 2013! A year from today:

I want to be at or near the weight I was when I got married (somewhere in the neighborhood of 150#!)

I would like to be able to quit my high-cholesterol medicine!
I am committing to exercising on my days off of work. Zumba, dual trainer, walking, riding, whatever! 30 minutes is NOTHING in the grand scheme of things!!
There may be a few more things added to this, but I have to start somewhere!
