A good start...

Got a good start on 2013. Cooper and I walked 11.1 miles today. Well... I walked that far, but Cooper rode inside my coat for over 2 miles of that. I can tell I am getting stronger because it is easy for me to carry him these days. lol! I also did 290 jumping jacks (not all at once), 3 varieties of crunches on the ball, and a SP video for the Jumpstart Challenge. Not a bad way to spend the first day of the year. I also finished reading the book I started last night, and made a big pot of soup. Nothing earth shattering. Just a really nice day.

I have an appointment tomorrow, and I need to do some grocery shopping, so my afternoon is taken up with that, so I am not certain how many miles we will be able to fit in tomorrow. I might hop on the bike in the basement and crank out some miles. I wanted to go to the gym, but that won't be happening the way things look right now. I may have to wait until Friday. I guess I just need to keep my plans flexible. I have priorities, and no. 1 is getting the dog walked... everything else pretty much stays fluid.

I got my blood work done on Wednesday of last week, and it is still not right, so I have to go back on Monday or Tuesday and get it done again. Ugh! At least with the holidays I got a few extra days between trips to the lab due to offices being closed. I know it needs to get sorted out and monitored, but jeez louise, enough is enough!

I don't mind all the snow we have gotten. I just wish people would clear their sidewalks. There are patches that are rather icy and treacherous out there now. Cooper and I end up walking in the street fairly often, which doesn't feel safe to me, but I don't want to slip and fall on the ice and strain something, or worse yet break something. Ah well, only a few more months of this!

    Sad to hear your blood work isn't right quite yet. I'm surprised with as well as you are doing with the weight loss and exercising daily!

    Too bad it is icy outside and all since people aren't shoveling their sidewalks. That would make it a deal breaker for me for exercising outside since I will slip on ice where no other human could possibly find it and if it is slippery sometimes to you, I'd be on my butt for sure!!

    Wow! Sounds like you are a pro walker. Im starting to feel guilty for not walking my dog nearly enough. I guess that's something I need to try and change. It'll do me some good as well. Be safe and watch out for that ice.

    We did an indoor walk today. Pretty cold still and there are some icy spots on the roads and sidewalks where we usually walk.

    I love that you walk and do jumping jacks. I tried to do a few last night, but my body is still not ready for the hard jumping and my fat bouncing all around in places I don't care to mention! So I envy you the hard work.

    I need to get my waist belt out and put it on before I do another cardio exrcise with Coach Nicole, that is for sure!!

    I don't like to walk in snowy, icy weather either. We have the sidewalk on our side of the street and when we both worked it took some time before we could get it all cleared. So I understand those that have problems getting the snow off, but now that I want to walk, I see the other side too. But you are doing great!
