Day One

The first day of a resolution is always wonderful! Choices are so easy and temptations so far from your mind. I chose to make this day different though. I want to change the way I eat, the way I exercise, the way I think about food and exercise so I didn't begin today with the usual beginners motivation. I just thought of day one as another typically crazy day in my life raising 3 beautifully rambunctious children. To my amazement, I actually did pretty well. I managed to make 2 trips to town because I had forgot the mullah at the house the first trip; we absolutely had to have cabbage for supper on New Years Day of course! Plus, my honey was stricken with flu like symptoms so he had to have some medicine,which doesn't work very well. So needless to say, after cleaning some house and recleaning some house since the kiddos were home from school, I actually made decent, perhaps not perfect, healthy choices today. I also started an exercise program for arms, looked up some free yoga videos, and re-started sparkpeople. So as they say, Out with the old (me), Ringing in the New! Here's to me and you!
