Portion Sizes

It is hard for me to track my food because I am not sure about portions. I had surgery for acid reflux in November and now I can't eat very much at one time. So I might plan to eat a baked potato, but I might only eat part of it. Or I might create a recipe and plan to eat one serving, but I only ending up eating a portion. I am trying to estimate how much I am eating because I want the tracking to be accurate, but I am never sure. I just started tracking my food a few days ago, so when I weigh in next time, I will see how I do and go from there. Maybe I need to tweak the tracking...perhaps I am eating more than I think, or maybe I am eating less.

    I don't know if you hang out on pintrest at all, but I was browsing the pins in the health and fitness section and they had an instert for your plate that automatically portioned out what you should have. It was kind of funny looking but the functionality and ease of use was definitly there.

    A small food scale would really help you know how many ounces you are eating. As time passes you do get better at estimating.
