Sometimes you just have to laugh...

Tuesday, January 01, 2013

Oh my... I saw one of the funniest discussions on the FitBit team thread. Someone posted something about their FitBit being "stalkerish" ... I thought, what the heck and read it. I was cracking up so much I thought I was going to pee my pants.

Apparently both the FitBit Ultra and One have a feature called "Chatter". When you first pick up your FitBIt or move it after it's been stationary it will give you a short message on the display. They're meant to be motivational/inspirational. Mine has said rock it, pick me up, let's move, move it, smooches and hug me. LOL! Hence the "stalkerish" thread discussion. I saw the best comment... someone said something to the effect of having a party going on in their bra and not even knowing it.

I guess not everyone realized that their FitBit does this... you can turn "chatter" off to save battery; but I haven't really had a problem with battery life yet and I'm being rather amused by mine. I crack right the heck up when it says something like smooches or hug me. I can't wait to see what it says next. I'm also glad to know that I'm far from the only person who tucks mine onto my bra rather than my hip.

My DH has been using his as well. It's going to be interesting to see how our sleep patterns relate. Maybe that will help some too. Anyway, so far so good! I'm liking it. It's easy to use and is giving me some good insight.

I'm looking forward to getting my plans all in place. I'm ready to break the plateau and get serious about getting fit this year. I did really well before and I know I can do it again!

Catch you later! Happy New Year!

I'm just getting use to my Fitbit as well! A personal Christmas gift, if you will.

I've noticed mine says ~something~ when I pick it up, but I never have my reading glasses on so I have no idea what it's saying LOL I suppose I need to remedy that.

Enjoy the new tool, the new insight, and new sight! Here's to a great year for all of us.

I saw a lady at the theatre come back from the bathroom with a glowing rectangle shaped boob. I hope your Fitbit doesn't glow! LOL

I think I'd like the chatter part. Inspiration!

I did not know my Fitbit could talk to me. It hasn't though, perhaps it is mad at me?

Ha! I wear my FitBit in my bra too so I guess there is a party going on in there that I wasn't aware of emoticon
