New Year, new me!

2013 is the year I will turn 60 so I should be old enough to have developed some common sense. Well you'd think so wouldn't you?
Last year ended with me being ill for several months due to overwork and stress. The doctor said she really can't help me because deep down I know that I am causing my own illness by not treating myself right. So where was this so called common sense when I needed it?
Now I am taking control of me and starting today I will:
Eat a balanced diet
Drink plenty of water
Drink alcohol only on special occasions
Practise yoga every morning
Do cardio vascular exercise at least once daily
Take regular breaks away from the computer during long work sessions
Start the day with positive thoughts (at least one a day)
Reflect on the days highlights every evening
Keep a journal with words and pictures
Today's positive thought - I am a happy soul with a body that's getting fitter.
Today's highlights - the sun shone, we took a lovely walk on the beach and we ate a delicious dinner of slow roasted herb and spice encrusted lamb with pomegranate juice and lots of root veggies.
