Wow what a year 2012 was. There aren't really words to describe it! I got engaged on New Years Eve and we set a date of 10-27-12. Then the wedding planning took over. I did my best through my injuries (heel injury from March and still recovering, broken toe..etc) and kept going. I don't regret a thing because it is a year I will never forget. We were so busy from about June through November it was ridculous. We had birthdays, weddings, baby showers, wedding showers and retirement parties to go to along with the normal holiday celebrations.
I ended up with over 10,000 fitness minutes. It was supposed to be much more than that but that's ok. It's never to late to start making yourself better. As many of you know I have gained about 50 pounds since 2010 and I find it really odd because I've been exercising and eating right. I even had my thyroid tested and that came back fine. So I am going to resolute to not weigh myself for at least 6 months. I'm just going to focus on being healthy all the way around and the results will come. I need to take the pressure off. And when you have done well and get on the scale and either don't lose or gain it's a blow to the mental part of losing weight. I'm going to take measurements and go by how my pants fit.
So without further holdup here are my 2012 fitness minute/mile stats....
January- 1000 minutes and 18.70 miles
February- 1025 minutes and 9.15 miles
March- 1435 minutes and 18.16 miles
April- 1105 minutes and 17.76 miles
May- 1000 minutes and 13.96 miles
June- 1055 minutes and 25.03 miles
July- 1120 minutes and 19.62 miles
August- 440 minutes and 8.56 miles
September- 575 minutes and 9.61 miles
October- 405 minutes and 9.54 miles
November- 480 minutes and 1.76 miles
December- 885 minutes and 1.50 miles
Total miles for 2012= 153.35 Not to bad considering I had a heel injury since March and couldn't really run so I took the dog on walks!
I am proud of my 2012 accomplishments. I kept at it through all the wedding planning and events we had to go to and never gave up. My fitness minutes did drop considerably but at least I was still doing something. And I probably would have done better had I been able to run, go to step class, or go to kick class but I couldn't because of my heel. The good news is the heel is doing much better. I take an anti-inflammtory before I workout and it keeps the swelling down. And I do stretches for my heel that the doctor gave me. I have a recheck in February to see if it's better!
So I'm putting 2012 behind me and focusing on the future in 2013 and what I can accomplish!
