New Year, first walk

emoticon Lesson learned today? No more balking about walking just cuz its cold outside.

emoticon Its only 22 degrees, and less due to the slight wind chill, but oh my goodness, so extraordinarily gorgeous! Sunshine glinting off of icicles, off of river breaking through banks of pancake ice. Neighbors tracking through the local hike in the snow, leaving their many tracks as proof they are not going to humor the weather. Got in a 2 mile walk and am glowing with joyous delight.

Lunch today was sweet potato lentil chili with a wee bite of avocado in every bite. Yum!

emoticon My mind is wanting to make big plans, write tons of goals, jump all in...and I'm reminding myself to focus on the tortoise, not get carried away with too much too soon, slow and steady. Today's morning scale check says I'm in the right direction.

Just for today, I am eating within my range, eating lots of veg and fruit, exercising, drinking my water. Today is another day won in paradise.

    emoticon Everyday is a new day and we start over from square one. 100% OF THE CAlories left to eat, 0 of the nutrients needed, zero fitness minutes, no water drunk so far, 0 fruits or vegetables eaten. I like that about this diet.
