First Steps for a Second Time

Today I walked.

I went about a mile, which is approximately 1/3 what I was at pre-baby. Since this is the first time back out exercising, I want to follow my doctor's advice to take it easy and not overdo. Still, I was anxious to get out and get moving again.

These two couldn't wait to go with me and keep me company. Anna rode circles around me on her new bike, and Alice sniffed every new smell she could find, and somehow managed to set off every dog in the neighborhood to barking (even though she was a super good girl and didn't bark even once).

Aside from the awesome company and the incredible feeling of getting my body out and moving like I used to, the best part of the walk has to be the view.

I can't wait to go again, and maybe add a few blocks to our walk next time.

    LOVE IT! I can't wait for warmer weather again to get outside and walk or ride my bike. It is far too slippery here to walk the dog...cause he walks me and not the other way around.

    Walking is sometimes the best medicine to feeling better
