Don't stay home on vacation.

Only one pound more. That is what I see on the scale when we return from a nearly one month vacation. I was not sure how it would go, but I am pleased with this.

Originally I thought I would take extra walks and do body weight exercises in the hotel. I did this a couple times, but it was too hot and humid and the days too busy for more workouts. Also, washing gym clothes on vacation did not fit into the fun.

The other objective I had was to eat balanced meals. First my relatives mounded up the food they prepared for us. I could not turn their hospitality down. I compensated by not having dinner after these delicious lunches. This tactic worked too when we were on our own. It balanced out the heavy restaurant meals.

Finally at the last resort we visited, I took to the pool. The rest of the vacationers toasted themselves around the pool, but few ventured in, so I has it to myself.

When I got home, I got right back to my routine. I am tracking and exercising. Now I am home and can get back to it. In fact, the extra pound is already gone after four days.
