New Year, New Me

Tuesday, January 01, 2013

This year is guaranteed to be one of my best years yet. I graduate in June with my MBA (a LONG time coming) and I'm committed to making improvements to myself and my family.

It's going to be a tough road but everything worth having is something you have to work hard for. I say bring it! It's time to finally get this right so that I can live a better life.

My main goal is to completely come off my cholesterol meds. I go back to the doctor on 2/1 to find out what my levels are. In the meantime, I'm going to bust my butt to lose weight and I'm going to eat healthier.

The last time I had an issue with this, I lost 11 pounds and my levels were better than normal. However, when I went back to check again, I had gained 12 pounds and my levels were through the roof. I loathe taking that pill every day and I'm just not going to do it anymore. The only way that can and will happen is by losing weight and eating better.

Here's to 2013 being the year I lose it all!

Thank you so much! Support is everything during a transition like this. I'll have to create a new goal once I come off my meds but that's what I want to do! I just hope I can continue this journey and actually see it through to the end. I've quit so many times before so it's always going to be hanging over my head.

I love your excitement and dedication! I am hoping to lose about 50 pounds and it is encouraging to hear others who are committed to a goal! Keep it up! emoticon
