Happy 2013 Everyone!
I joined SP (for the 3rd time) last week. I've been easing into the program, making sure that I have the right pieces in place before really getting going. The last couple of times, my goals (losing X pounds and getting fit) and plans to reach them were too vague. I'm hoping not to make that mistake again. This time, I've identified a very specific set of things I want to accomplish and the actions I will need to take to accomplish them. I'm also spending time researching health issues, making treatment plans, and developing schedules and checklists so that tracking my progress is easier. As a devoted techno-geek, I'm checking into a variety of Ipad and Iphone apps that make these things easier. I'll share some of them in later posts.
For now, a fun app -- I Ching (for Ipad). For those who not familiar with this, its based on the ancient Chinese Book of Changes. The idea is to think of a question to ask the book and toss three coins (or their electronic equivalent) to determine the answer. My question for the new year was how would I progress with the changes I wanted to make in my life this year. The answer was the symbol for Increase ("Powerful improvements are underway"). I'll take that as a good sign for 2013!
