Happy New Year everyone! I've not been on Spark for awhile as I have been working 50 - 60 hour weeks since Oct 1st. Budget wise it has been a huge blessing as it now appears I will be able to keep my house! Praising the Lord for that. However, the rest of my life has been pretty much on hold. My immediate supervisor retired in April 2012 and they did not replace her. So it's been just me in my office since then. Beginning in October, we took on several new projects that secured our jobs (another blessing!!!) but increased the workload threefold. I had been working 4 - 10 hour days and since Oct 1 have been working 5 - 11 hour days and some Saturdays. Lunch breaks consist of the time I go to the breakroom to get my lunch and get back to my desk. Someone has to monitor the phones during the day and that someone is me. Don't misunderstand, I'm not complaining at all! Way too grateful for that. But, it has taken a toll on my weight loss and exercise time. I haven't even had time to log in to Spark and I've missed being here! I've gained 8 lbs since October and lost all the tone I had achieved. So, I'm trying to find my way back. I know at least I can get my diet back by changing what I take for breakfast and lunch. (My son takes care of dinner.) The exercise part may take a little longer. They say I'm getting a clerk sometime in the next month. Once she's trained I can start walking at lunch again and will eventually get back to my 4 - 10 hour days. I know I will find my way back eventually and get back on track. Today is the first step.
