First day of the new year 2013 and I sat a while to determine what fitness routine to perform for the month of January and other fitness goals such as working towards additional loss of weight and staying healthy overall.
I am starting the year knowing my woman wellness check up in 2012 was better than expected...YAY me! I still need to figure out how to get the breast biospsy done "free" or at a very low cost.
I did reset my trackers Sparkpeople.com to reflect a new starting point in many areas including my current weight. I want to start this year as a truly "new beginning" in the area of my health & fitness.
I am starting out at 168 lbs. My short-term goal is to come in around 159 lbs around Feb 12th, if, I can lose 1.5 lbs per week. My exercising has been consistent and on point but it is my diet that can stand some "tweaking". This is the challenge but I will work on it. I definitely consumed too many extra calories over the holidays near the end of 2012. Thank goodness I stayed on an exercise plan to at least burn some of those calories.
For the month of January 2013, I will do a version of Chalean Extreme's Lean For Life Phase rotating different dvds throughout each week.
This morning I did CLX Burn Circuit 1 focusing on legs, obliques, arms, chest, shoulders for a 36 minute intense strength training workout. Weights in use: 17.5, 15, 13.75, 12.5, 10, 7.5. There was one moment when I had to break to consume a cup of water. This is not an easy circuit and there is a cardio effect when using the weights, too.
