Ok - so, it's not really a new decade for everyone. But, for me it is! I turned 30 in November and feel like this change in decade signals a new start for me. I keep teasing myself by saying "Well, now that you're 30 you're an actual grown-up!" So, I feel like its time to get responsible for my health.
And that's not all. In a year and a half, I will graduate with my doctorate of pharmacy. By that time, I want to be healthier, stronger, and happier. An overweight healthcare professional is kind of a joke. How am I supposed to counsel someone on their weight if I'm obese myself?! Not only that, but I'm educated enough to know the benefits of diet and exercise and the risk of obesity presents to my overall health. I think this is my strongest reason to get better.
So, what am I going to do about it?
1) drink more water
2) track my food on SPARK
2) explore the DASH diet and pick a nutrition plan
3) rejoin jazzercise - which I love and miss
Wish me luck -
