update on insurance

Tuesday, January 01, 2013

Good Morning; DH found out nothing works except SS card. We should have it within the next week. I had Dh go back to his former corporation where he retired. They gave us 1 month of medical insurance for the both of us. He did not need any b/c he was covered but they would not cover me without him on the policy. They do not have my SS card but so we have insurance for $1600 for one month anyways. Very expensive but at least I have medical insurance. We are fortunate to have the former company so generous. It will give us time to receive the SS card and FAX it to them. DH told them how ridiculous it is to do this, but in our country our medical is tied to our jobs - not like England where you have medical insurance even if you move jobs. emoticon Skyped with DD this morning. Adrienne is pulling herself on the furniture. She is one busy baby- she disappears and then pops up after she has pulled herself up on the furniture. - I will be babysitting her for about 6 days later this month. She will have more room to roam. We need to baby proof. Christmas decorations coming down today. emoticon DS is here with GF. they are doing better. She is wearing a heart monitor. They are so young and have so much to learn. GF wanted her tubes tied after birth. Doctor talked her out of it and she will be taking BC with a shot and has to do this every 3 months after birth. From what I know about her, she will forget to get the shot and baby two will then be along after that. I mentioned it to DS and he told me that I do not want baby two. But they do not think and can't plan what they are doing tomorrow. I am going to pray that DS gets wiser this time. I have no control over them. Oh well, have a good day. I have to let go!

Why wouldn't the dr tie her tubes? I'd make her get a second opinion. The recent place I went for a yearly exam told me they would not refill the BCP's I'd been on for over two years and are working well for me. They said because I was on BP meds they couldn't (then why does my regular dr?) The woman actually said to me, "You'd be easier to treat if you were pregnant. I'll only prescribe you the shot or the low dose pill." Both of those options have high fail rates. The shot even has a Black Box Warning. A baby is not an option for my hubs and me right now.

But as you and the other said, you gotta let go and let them live and learn.

Glad you got to skype with your DD. That is so much nicer than "just" a phone call. Adrienne sounds like a mover and a shaker! Gosh, I remember having my DD WALKING . . . full blown WALKING . . . @ 8 mths. Lord! They just grow too quickly!

Glad DS and GF are doing all right. It is so hard to "let go" but no choice, is there. **SIGH**

Hugs and happy New Year. Blessings, abundance, happiness and above all, good health.
