For Christmas my mother gave me money to put toward a gym membership! I'm very excited! I have selected one to check out that is only a couple of blocks from home. I am going to go talk to them tomorrow. Hours are a little tricky, as they don't open until six. My hope is to be able to use an elliptical/treadmill for 30 minutes (6:00-6:30am) during the work week and then go back to use weight machines after work. I'm going to ask about machine availability to make sure this is a realistic goal for the facility. I hope the machines aren't already claimed on a regular basis. As for the weight machines, I am going to look into some Spark generated workouts. Maybe doing arms, legs and abs twice a week to start.
1) Morning Routine for Appearance: I often let my appearance slide, opting for a minute or two more on the computer rather than drying my hair or putting on make up. I've noticed that my confidence is affected greatly by how well I put myself together in the morning. I'm hoping that by getting up and using a cardio machine each morning will kick start my energy so that I can reach my morning routine resolution that I will dry my hair and apply make up every workday morning.
2) Photo-a-Day: I got a new camera just before Christmas and I want to better my skills as well as document my year so I will be taking a picture a day! It doesn't have to be anything fancy!
3) Housework Routine: I've slipped into a routine of letting chores pile up so they have to all be done on the weekends and then I feel like I can't enjoy my Saturday and Sundays. To help ease weekend chores I have decided to clean the bathroom on Tuesdays, dust on Wednesdays and do the floors on Thursdays. I really want this routine to stick so that I can spend my weekends doing more of what I love!
