2012 was challenging. It started challenging. It ended challenging.
But 2013 is here. I'm not going to make excuses for anything in 2012, because I am taking the opportunity to start over and start fresh.
I have joined the SP January Jump Start challenge. I will modify, as necessary, since my ankle isn't fully healed (Oh, did I mention the high ankle sprain and tendon tear over Labor Day weekend? I'm mobile, now!), but I can do this. It's way outside my comfort zone, which sounds like a good place to start.
I intend to get back into tracking my food. I am making Friday, my birthday, the exception. It's my birthday and as long as it's JUST my birthday, it's okay. My goal for the first week is to TRACK. Just track. Not obsess too much about what I'm eating, but to get back into the habit of tracking.
But my year long goal, as vague as it is, is to have a better year. A healthier year. Running a 5k may well be out of the equation forever, because of that injury, but I can walk it. I think I might want to walk the Dexter Ann Arbor 5k this spring, because I can. And appreciate that I can! Anyone local want to join me?
