Today is January 1, 2013 and here are a few of my goals for this year:
Practice patience a little more.
Help a total stranger at least once a month.
Tweak my attitude just a little more
Keep Diabetes II at bay
Drink more water
Keep cholesterol and triglycerides in check
Keep high blood pressure in check
Exercise more
These are a few of my 2013 goals and I hope to accomplish them all.
I am practicing patience more and taking things more in stride.
In January: I gave a young girl that I did not know a donation toward her nursing degree in honor of my deceased niece (who passed away from cancer) who was an LPN working toward her RN degree when she passed.
In February: I gave a cancer patient a donation toward a new pair of glasses which she could not afford due to her mounting chemo bills.
My attitude still needs tweaked.
Try as I may, I cannot keep diabetes at bay...will probably be going on meds soon.
I am now up to 8 glasses of water a day. Yay!
Haven't had a cholesterol check yet this year.
BP is super...Yay!
I am exercising more because I wanted to try to keep the diabetes at bay.
That is an update on my 2013 goals.
Patience is a virtue
In March I donated money to a young gentleman that was involved in a head-on collision and was in serious condition. There are tremendous dr bills and hospital bills.
My attitude still needs work.
I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in March. I am now on metformin. Not doing so well with that. Having a hard time adjusting to the meds and the turmoil going on in my body. Have no energy and sick to my stomach a lot.
I do drink lots of water.
Still no cholesterol check yet this year.
BP is excellent.
This is my update for now.
