Happy 2013 everyone! I wish you all peace, love, joy, and wellness for the new year.
I love New Year's Day. I feel like it's a chance for a fresh start, for a new beginning, a time for a redo. I'm 42 and ever since I was a child I've always seen this day as hugely significant in terms of cleaning the slate.
So here are my intentions for today, to start this new year off right:
1. Get at least 15K steps
2. Work out at my gym for a very long time (see 1
3. Eat seated, slowly and mindfully until I'm sated but not stuffed.
4. Only eat when hungry.
5. Chew each small bite 20 times (whenever I do this, I'm amazed at how satisfied I am by less food and how much more enjoyable my meals are).
6. Get 7-8 hours sleep (I haven't done this in almost 3 months and this is a big goal for my new year).
I know that my health and well being are directly linked to the strength of my family. I need to have resilient health for them as well as myself. I'm so excited to start this journey, and though I've regained about 1/2 of the weight I lost, I feel confident that I'm not ready to release it again.
