It's a new year, and I need to return to those things that I know that work for me.

In late August 2012, I was a couple of pounds under my goal weight. Now I am almost 25 pounds above my goal weight. Gee....

No beating myself up, though. I know what works...so now I need to return to it.

More freggies
More walking
More tracking
More weighing in consistently
Go back to measuring

I've done it and I will do it!

6/1/2013 gives me 6 months. I can do that. That will be a very significant date in my life - I am gaining a lovely young woman as my daughter-in-law. I am so very pleased with my son's choice.

What are your plans for 2013?

    Tammy, I agree that stress can really throw us a curve ball. I think that is what happened to me in 2012. All the things that we can't control in our lives work against us. But I think you have a great plan. I too have a wedding to go to in July so I'm going to be trying to lose also. emoticon emoticon

    It's amazing what the stress of our daily lives does to our eating habits. I have no doubt you can do it. You have once and will again. I like your goals as they are reasonable and achievable!

I've given myself a month, until the end of Janauary, to take off the 8 pounds I've gained since Thanksgiving. It may be too ambitious but my reward will be a great trip in the spring for DH and I. I'm not buying the tickets until I lose the weight!

So I walked with a buddy for 4.5 miles this morning - brisk pace and cold weather. Now to track my food and stay in range.

    I also have to learn to not let those minor setbacks get me down. You are evidently doing fantastic if you are that close to your goal weight. Congratulations on your new daughter-in-law. Hopefully many grandchildren to come. With each grandchild comes a new motivation to stay healthy. :) And Happy New Year
