It's 2013...what that means...

Tuesday, January 01, 2013

That means that 2012 is officially gone and we survived...even lived!

2012 was a good year, although I'm not sure where it went! Life in general was good to us...2013 is sure to be even better!

See, life is going to happen, the good, the bad, the amazing, the ugly, the sorry, the joy, etc. etc. But I've learned that, what comes out of all of those times is the lessons and the blessings we get from them. So, I'm ready.

I'm happy that I have more time with my husband, kiddo's, friends and family. Time is the most precious gift I can get...and I have at least another day.

Today, well later today, is going to be a back to basics day. It's probably going to suck. I am going to have to log my food, log my exercise, answer to my challenge buddy and not be annoyed when I want to eat but shouldn't. I'm going to get cranky and I'm going to get irritable, but I am blessed to have the time to feel all those things.

So I think I'm going to go get the kiddo's out of the hot tub, but the 5 year old to bed, get my husband to turn off You Don't Know Jack and see my friends out the door...then I'm going to lay down, drift off while talking with God and be ready for whatever tomorrow brings (including measurements, weight and before pictures!).

To start the new year I'm going to end with one of my favorite quotes....not sure who the heck is responsible for this, but it's true....

A year from now, you are going to wish you started today!

Back to basics is good! I find that I have to log food and exercise to maintain where I am at. Make 2013 the best year, yet!

To paraphrase your quote: If you had started one year ago, just think where you'd be today. It works forward and backward.
