Extra visual motivation

Monday, December 31, 2012

So I have a wedding to attend at the end of April. If I hadn't taken time off of my workouts, I know I would still be on track to be able to not only feel healthier and better but also to look great in whatever I would be wearing. The bride and groom are health enuthusiest and they have been hitting the gym and toning up even more for the big day and I just really want to look fabulous and not feel like crap when taking pictures with everyone. Plus my fiance is a groomsmen and I know he's gonna be real handsome in his tux (and a girl that has the hots for him and flirts with him shamelessly is a bridesmaid oh joy). I was going to use my Avenue gift card to order a dress online. I found a shimmery one that I really liked on sale for $32. I decided to check out the store first just in case and like it was meant to be that "online only" dress happened to be there. Just one. On clearance from $73 to $32 with the in store 60% off it was $14.96 It was 4 sizes too small a 18/20 and I usually wear a 24/26. I decided what the hell I need a little extra motivation and an awesome visual aid to cheer me along. I bought the dress (so excited). When I got home I tried the dress on and was surprised that it fit (not well or flattering right now though) so I am that much more positive that I can definitely kick butt and lose enough weight and tone up to be able to wear it well by April 27th. Greg was skeptical-- he said the dress would probably be way too big for me by then HAHAHA I love him I hope he is right :)

Maybe it is a good thing that the dress is too small because it might help keep you motivated than if it was just the right size because in the back of your mind you know you are going to want that dress to fit so you have something to wear to the wedding and so you feel more confident taking photos. :)

That is EXACTLY the right response!
Think about it, though: 4 sizes in 4 months is nothing for a spitfire like you. YOU CAN DO IT!
