Reflection of 2012, goals for 2013

My reflection on this last year! Well in the last almost 3 years I have lost a total of 128 pounds over 20 of that was this year! Now I only have 11 pounds to go! For me I already had to think back, you see this past summer my sister and her partner were here. They are obese like I was and we all went camping and watching them with the struggle of walking to the camp site and walking the trails it was the best reminder for me! I remember thinking OH MY GOSH that was ME just a couple of years ago look and look at me now!!!! In that moment I was SO proud of myself and since then I have lost even more! I know I have made good choices this past year and I can't wait to see if I have completed my journey by 12/31/13 and if I have been able to keep all this weight off!

What will I change? NOTHING!!! Why change a good thing! I may add more, but I am ALWAYS adding more!

What will my goals be for this next year? Keep making healthy choices, keep going to the gym at least once every day, (usually twice). Going to keep going to my new found zumba classes, going to start taking water zumba in the summer (if all goes well), and my zumba instructor is talking about starting an abs class and believe me I will be there!! Of course I will still be here sparking and always tracking!

Please respond, you can respond with your own reflections and goals! If you like my blog please click the I LIKE THIS BLOG! Thanks

In 2012 my greatest fitness accomplishments were keeping off an 80 pound loss and running my first half marathon.

My goals for 2013 are to extend my streak of days sticking to my calorie range, increase strength training (specific goals coming), and run over 600 miles.

Judy YOU ROCK! your determination and dedication has paid big dividends for you- I wish we all had the opportunity to camp in our present form with the image of ourselves past hiking the trails beside us- a scary thought- but oh my- what a motivator.. Hoping this summer you will camp again and realize the 'future self' hiking with you is actually a reflection of who you have become. Keep surrounding yourself with people who mirror the healthy habits you live

Judy-congrats on your incredible losses for the year! I managed to bounce off my 'motivational truck' this year and have had a net gain. This year it comes off! Thank you for motivating me regardless of not being incontact with you before. Please know that you have, indeed, inspired me!

These are good goals and what an accomplishment! Bravo to you! I would like to ask how did you lose that much weight? I feel like I have been stuck for a hot minute and not sure how to get past this stage. I keep trying and have really been watching and tracking what I put in my mouth this week. Check out my lastest blog!

You ARE doing great! I'm with you about ZUMBA!!!!! I can't get enough! I've only done it about 7 times, BUT.... YES! I love it! What is ZUMBA swimming? I swim, but I've never heard of this???? Please Spark me with this info!

Also, I too, joined SP because I was way over, BUT watching people around me not being able to, well do much! It is THAT image I have kept in my mind to keep me going! I'm about 6 # away! Maintenance is the hardest part for me, but SP has been a REAL life changer, so I KNOW I will be able to do this!

I am SO proud of you & to call you my Spark Friend! You rock!!!!!

Congratulations! 125lbs. is a huge accomplishment!!!

For me - next year I want to get to 299lbs. 2012 showed progress but I didn't quite get there. This year I will be focusing more on exercise and continuing to push myself so one day I can be writing a blog just like this one.

    Happy New Year Judy!

Congratulations and thanks for offering my big ol' butt hope! Haha!
My goal is to keep making healthy changes, incorporate more natural and whole foods, and much less processed foods, continue teaching my kids healthy habits and encouraging them with them, make myself do more strengthing and toning exercises after I do cardio. I want to lose 100lbs total before the year is over, and I ultimately want to get down to a TONED 175-180. I was a fat 175-180 when I was in tenth grade *mumble* years ago.

Congrats on all the progress - I am sure you'll make your goals!

I'd managed to lose 82 pounds since I started in 2006, but then in 09 I hurt my back and neck, and my exercise bike died, and it was a while before I could really do exercises again. By then my weight had crept up from 180 to 226 this past June. ARGH! However, while on my most recent mission trip to Peru, I was able to eat more moderately - a lot of fish and chicken - and did a lot of walking. Once I came home I began tracking again in earnest and have beaten off 20 of those pounds, even maintaining during the holidays. I know I can get down again - although now it may be more difficult due to arthritis attacking my joints more (best to do these things when you're still young!) I may not get below 190...But I plan to stay with Spark and keep a healthy lifestyle, with God's help and the support here! "God bless us, every one!" this year!

Congratulations on your weight loss and on keeping it off too! I have lost 32 pounds this year and have about 70 more to go. I can't wait until I have that moment of reflection like you just did. Actually, I already have less back pain and have noticed that I don't struggle as much anymore with some things. I know you'll make your goal weight in 2013. This year it's yours for the taking!! Good luck!
