Last day of 2012

It sure seems as if 2012 flew by at a supersonic pace! All in all, it's been a good year. I've learned a lot more about weight maintenance, for one thing, and I have a pretty good idea what I'll need to tweak for next year. I'm grateful to be within 4 pounds of where I was last year at this time, though I admit I wish it was 4 pounds *less* :-o It's good that I'll have something to work toward next year, some old habits to break and some new ones to acquire. I'm looking forward to new workouts, including some using the new Bosu my DH decided to gift me with (what did I ever do to him??!!), and more work with my hula hoop.

Tonight is our annual stay-at-home New Year's Eve celebration with my BFF, and tomorrow we continue the 19-year tradition of New Year's Day lunch, going out with Buddy and the Princess to enjoy a meal, set some goals for 2013, and then shop for next year's wall calendar. I remember the first year we had New Year's Day lunch, Buddy was in a high chair and ate mostly Cheerios with his couple new teeth :-) And now he's all growed up and back to college on Wednesday. Time does continue to fly.

    Congrats on learning to maintain for a whole year! That rocks! I've often been told that's the hardest part.

    Aw, what an awesome tradition! It sounds like you're going to have a great New Years Eve and New Years Day, wonderful way to round out the holiday season!
