More Cookies to Finish Out the Year

Monday, December 31, 2012

We are getting together with my husband's family tomorrow to exchange Christmas gifts. I baked some oatmeal cookies for my niece (left) and lemon pudding cookies with dried raspberries for my sister in law (left).

For our New Year's Eve celebration, I baked some gluten free cocoa molasses cookies (so I could share with my BFF and my brother's girlfriend)

My running has been going well. I got in 2.75 miles on the treadmill twinges :-)
I saw the PT today and he was happy to hear it. He was also impressed that I was reading this book, Anatomy for Runners (Thank you, Seabreeze63, for the recommendation)...I think he's going to get a copy for himself:

He gave me some more exercises to do but is happy with my progress.
My husband has been battling a cold and I woke up congested and was worried that I had finally succumbed but I felt better after coffee so I think I'm okay. If he's feeling good tomorrow, we will go out to the trail for a run...if not, I'll do it on the treadmill....I don't feel comfortable running by myself on the trail....too many iffy people around.
Have a safe New Year's Eve and a wonderful New Year!!

The Leon cookies with dried raspberries sound delightful. Where do you get all of your recipes from? hope you did to catch your husbands's cold!

I have GOT to try some cocoa molasses cookies. Two of my favorites rolled together sounds awesome! I am glad that you are running and will have to check out the anatomy for runners. It sounds about my speed (haha). I don't blame you for running on the tread mill when your partner isn't up to snuff. It is safer and probably a lot warmer:) Yeah for no twinges!
