I had my chemo today instead of my usual Tuesday because the specialty clinic will be closed tomorrow because of the holiday. When my oncologist and his two nurses are there on Tuesdays, they are the only ones in the clinic, but since they came today instead, they had to share the offices with a couple of other doctors. There weren't as many rooms available for the chemo patients today so things were hectic and there was a bit longer wait than usually. It made me appreciate my nice, quiet Tuesdays when I am there!
Hemoglobin is holding in there at 9.7; low enough to make me tired, but not low enough where I need a transfusion. When I was done, I went out for a quick lunch with my best friend and then she took me grocery shopping. The store was busy today, I guess people were getting ready for New Year's parties. It's very cold out there today too, so I was very glad when I finally got back home, got my groceries put away, and changed into my pajamas.
I'm just going to read and watch tv tonight; I doubt I will still be awake at midnight; for about the last week, I've been falling asleep trying to read or watch tv around 9:30pm or 10pm. I'm glad I can stay home tomorrow, and since there will be no mail either, I won't have to go out into the cold.
I want to wish all my Spark friends a very Happy New Year!
