My husband and I watched the documentary Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead (http://www.jointhereboot.com)
. We were inspired by their success at losing weight and keeping it off by rebooting their system through juicing. We went out and bought a juicer at Costco yesterday and more fruits and veggies than I have ever had in the house at one time. For the next 30 days, I am going to juice every day. My family thinks I'm crazy, but that is normal so that is fine by me.
This morning we started with a Mean Green Juice. It has 2 apples, 1" ginger, 1/2 lemon, 6 kale leaves, 1 cucumber, and 4 stalks of celery. I must say I feel awesome after drinking it. I can think more clearly, and I have a ton of energy. I feel great!
On a side note, our washing machine broke one week ago. The GE repairman came today to look at it. Apparently, the latch for the locking door is broken so the part was ordered today and will not be here for another week. As much as I do not want to, I am off to the laundromat to do a few loads of laundry.
The next semester of school starts next week. I need to figure out how I am going to store juice to drink at school. I might order a couple more hydroflasks. I love hydroflask. I put ice in the container, and the ice is still there 24 hours later. I first bought one at the Portland Saturday market, and I didn't believe the guy selling them. I figured what the heck I will give it a try so I bought one. Now, I do not leave the house without it. I love my hydroflask (www.hydroflask.com). It also doesn't taste like metal or sweat water all over the table during class, and I do not have to find ice on campus only a water fountain to refill the bottle. Okay, now I'm sounding like a sales person for hydroflask. Haha. I'm not. I just love it!
