Goodbye 2012 -- Hello 2013!
Monday, December 31, 2012
2012 has some fond memories, and a few things I'd like to forget (the election being one of those) -- but blocking out the bad isn't always a good thing. For if you face what you consider bad, perhaps there are ways of overcoming it. For example, when you finally admitted to your self that you were overweight -- you had to face it and take action before you could begin to combat it.
I have had lots of fun lunches with girlfriends during 2012. It's so much fun to get together with 1 or 2 friends, or sometimes a group, and catch up on what's going on in everyone's life!
Mid-July I finally made it into the 130's and except for a small slip during vacation have even managed to stay in that range.
November we went on our yearly vacation with 2 weeks in Mexico, this time a tour of some specific archaeological sites. It was fun and the group we shared our experiences with was so warm and friendly!
One peek at Mexico City when we first arrived.
After vacation we spent Thanksgiving with my daughter & family (no photo) and on the Monday after Thanksgiving we adopted our little Luci, 3 year old female cat.
And just before Christmas my daughter announced her engagement to Dino
She now shakes hands using her "left" hand. lol
And during 2012 I've made many new friends, and strengthened those friendships I already had, and with friends you are never truly alone!
Have a terrific 2013! And if you're not happy with your scale, consider this:
