Good healthy food makes you feel good and healthy!

Monday, December 31, 2012

I was able to stay home yesterday and eat light and healthy after the dinner at friends the night before. I also went into the hot tub to release some of that water gain from the salty meal. I was happy to report that I am back down to 109.5 (so it was 3 pound gain of water up to 112.5). Our bodies amaze me at how they blow up with water gain. I am happy that I am able to get right back on plan and eat right knowing that the water weight will come off. Of course now that I am back at goal, we got a call from friends that used to live here and are visiting and they want to go out to eat for a late lunch. So glad that I am back down so that I can splurge and then get back on track again tomorrow....Tis the Season!
Today would have been my Daddy's 91's birthday. Yep he was a New Year's Eve baby. I sure miss him. He was a fun Daddy. So Happy Birthday Daddy!
I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year.
We will stay in and watch movies and most likely as always I will be asleep when the clock strikes midnight. Funny how that works as you age.
So Happy New Year Dear Sparks Buddies!
Many Cheers!
Sallie

Congrats on that 3 pound loss!! Even though you know it is water weight, it is such a relief when it is gone!! You are just doing great, Sallie. Keep up the good work!!

I didn't stay up for midnight last New Year's Eve, and I don't intend to today either. Going to bed on time worked out well for me a year ago, so I'll do it again tonight.

The last time I was out for New Year's Eve, I was able to walk to where I would be spending the night! Would not dream of being on the road on any holiday. Just way too dangerous, people still drink too much and think they are capable of driving. Too scary for me. I will fight lions, tigers, etc. but not drunk drivers. If I am still up, I watch them drop the ball. Happy New Year!

I've found that as I've aged (oh, joy), I seem to get more bloated. Don't ask me why because I do try to drink a lot of water. That's why I don't get freaked out if I see a dramatic jump in the scale. Most times, it's nothing more than water retention.

Happy New Year ! oh and sorry that the Eagles got clobbered yesterday. I'm happy, the Patriots have the bye ! WOO HOO !

I hope you have a wonderful New Year's Eve lunch with your friends Sallie. Staying in for the evening sounds nice. I rarely am awake for the count down either. I hope 2013 will be good to you and your family.
