Do you know what a lame brain is?

Monday, December 31, 2012

Good Morning- my DH. He has a new job since October, the new company had me on his medical insurance. Saturday, he got a notice that I am no longer covered. I need to provide a SS card which I do not know where it is. Two weeks ago, I went to apply for one which will take 2-4 weeks to receive Since my DH has been like an air head when it comes to the paperwork and benefits. These companies will not talk to a Competent spouse. they will only deal with the employee. emoticon So as of now, I have no medical or dental or anything until the government sends me the SS card. I have been in the system since I was 14 working, but this major corporation can not use any thing else - my son said that they should be able to find me in the system. The army sure could find me if I was a soldier. They asked for my marriage license. That is not enough. Funny thing my DH does not have his SS card either but BIG corp. took him as an employee. What a double standard. emoticon

I took my birth certificate and passport and went into the local office. They told me 2 weeks, maybe a little longer because of a holiday. I got it in 5 days. You can go to their website to fill out paperwork and see what you need before you go in, it makes it go faster.

Ask them if a passport will suffice.

Do you have a local SS office?? Maybe an in-person visit would expidite things. How frustrating!!
