I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year. My husband and I are staying home and not really doing much special. We will probably go out for a late lunch/dinner before the crowds start.

I've been off work since last week to take my last days of vacation and will go back on Wednesday. I've loved being off, but we have bills to pay so I must go back to work.

We are dog sitting for our neighbor's beagle. She is such a sweet dog. I'll be taking her and our two dogs out for a nice walk later this morning. I take them one at a time, so I get a nice, long walk. My husband had to work today, so it's just me doing it and I want to do it before it gets dark so I can see where the ice is...don't want to slip and fall!
