Slow, lazy day

Sunday, December 30, 2012

I slept in this morning... and so did the dog! So, we didn't leave for our morning walk until 11:45am. I had to eat breakfast and get myself organized before I could face the frigid outdoors. It has been lightly snowing on and off all day, so we are in no danger of losing our snow cover before I get another chance to go snowshoeing, or maybe even cross country skiing. (I can use my dad's skis and poles, just need to sort out boots.)

I am counting today as a rest day, as all I did today was walk the dog. We did cover 7.3 miles today, which isn't bad. We even ran one mile of that. The sidewalks on campus were clear enough for running, which warmed me right up. I wasn't really dressed for running today, but the opportunity was there, so I figured what the heck, why not?

Cooper doesn't know it, but we are walking more miles tomorrow...

Oh Cooper was a lucky dog the day you brought him into your life. Jack Russells like to be active and you certainly keep him busy. It cracks me up that you can wear him out.
