Yikes!

Yikes! I realized day before yesterday that I've got to get my displays ready for a bridal fair next Saturday. I thought I had a couple more weeks. Yikes! Oh, and YIKES! I don't have anything dressy to wear to it that fits.

Yikes! My husband and I got fitbit ones and a fitbit aria (scale) for Christmas. We setup it up today, and....YIKES!!! I knew I had gained weight, so it is NOT a surprise that I now weigh 168.7. What IS A SURPRISE TO ME IS THAT MY BODY FAT IS 41%!!!! YIKES!!!!!! I'm blown away at this. I'm scared - what a wake up call, huh?

    I'm in the same place right now. Starting over is hard, but it's better than being miserable. emoticon

    Yeah, life sure does have a way of creeping up on you. My son reminded me this weekend of an old adage I used to tell him when he was growing up:

"Fail to plan, Plan to fail."

    Don't freak out.

It is OK for women to have between 21% and 35% body fat. You should be at the higher range (35%) as you age.

If your ticker is correct and weigh 168lbs, you now carry about 68 lbs of fat. If you lost to your goal (150) and you lost all fat (make sure you have strength training in there!) you would lose 18 lbs of fat at be at a really great percentage:

50lbs of fat/150 lbs total weight = 33% body fat.

So your goal weight is perfect!!

    Enjoy the Fitbit. I have not bought one yet. But I think they are very interesting.
