Sleep and my FitBit One

Sunday, December 30, 2012

One of the reasons I got the FitBit One was to track my sleep. I know my sleep at night is terrible. The first two nights I had the sleep tracker set to sensitive. Here are the charts from those two nights.

Thursday night:

Friday night:

Both show me only sleeping about half the time I am in bed.

Last night I changed the setting to normal and got this:

This one shows I slept quite a bit last night. The problem is, it is wrong. I lay in bed awake from a little after 2 until around 5.

Here's the same night but with the sensitive setting:

Think I'm going back to the sensitive setting and just assume some of the awake time is actually dream time. Or maybe it is time for me to go have a sleep test.

Dang Char, thats almost scary. I hope my sleep is better than that when I start to measure mine. LOL, after seeing yours, I am not sure I want to know what mine is. I think I am doing and feeling better by going to bed earlier, but when my eyes are slamming shut by 8pm I am not sure what to think. I use to stay up till wee hrs in the morning.

I hope it levels out for you....drink some tea or wine b4 going to bed, maybe that will help. MA

Sounds like a sleep test wouldn't be a bad idea. Sorry your sleep is off - that is a miserable feeling to be tired all the time and so frustrating to watch the clock and see your resting hours pass you by. Good luck getting this figured out. Have you looked into your food and drink to see if there is something messing up your circadian rhythm?
