It was a wonderful holiday season. I have 5 grown children and 4 of them are married and 3 of them have children (7 grandkids). With that said, I have to plan my energy normally so with the holidays, I have to be even more strategic. Once or twice we get together as a full group like on thanksgiving but even then it is hard for all of us to be in once spot at the same time for a group picture. I am still hoping to get one before my oldest son moves to San Antonio, TX with Army to be a LPN. Here are some of the moments of my holiday.
This is my home. I went from a large two story home to a townhouse, so I focus my deocrating around the fireplace. I don't put up a tree here but my son and I enjoyed the decos and the cozy fire.
This is the wall to the left of the fireplace. I thought these hangings were cute. I bought them at Micheals Craft Store and inserted current pictures of the 7 grandkids in them. The oldest is 10 and the youngest is 11 months.
This is a longer shot. You can see the chair near the fireplace where I put on a lot of weight

I am going to spend less time in it this year. Haha.
This is my daughter's house. We got a shot of all 7 grandkids here opening gifts. My daughter is such an organizer. She had them all sit and gave them each a gift and then got pictures. We have "its a small world" in our family! I am Irish, the children's father was Hispanic. My oldest son married a full Chinese lady. She is beautiful and graceful. These next two pics are my grandsons age 10 and 6 from their marriage.
My oldest daughter married a full Hawaiian. The next 3 pictures are the their kids.
My younger daughter married full German. This is their two children.
I will be receiving a group shot of each family later this week and will post them for you as well.
Right now they all live near me with oldest son the furthest away at Fort Lewis. It takes about an hour to get to his place depending on traffic. The younger two sons do not have children.
