Winding down the year

Sunday, December 30, 2012

I've been cleaning out drawers and cabinets for the last few months, but the New Year gives me a chance to clean out even MORE. I just cleaned out my files - shredded a ton of stuff, got everything together for 2012 tax time, and cleaned out some old receipts.

Washed the new sheets we got for Christmas and I have a pile of old sheets and towels to send to the Humane Society.

I am SO excited - hubs is talking to his boss today to get some time off for a vacation! We really haven't *ever* taken a vacation together, and I am so excited. Hubs' parents have a place in Florida for the winter, and we are planning to stay there for about ten days. I can't wait. I am SO SO SO SO excited!!!

My mom, my brother and his GF are coming up for New Years Day. It will be nice - I usually drive down to my mom's house that day, and I'm looking forward to not making that drive. It also gives me a good reason to wash the windows and dust the furniture.

Today's good things:
- drank lots of water
- made it to the gym! I passed 1000 fitness minutes for the month - I'm pretty impressed, seeing as I was out of commission for a week. I'm looking forward to lots of fitness minutes in 2013.
- did some good cleaning
- will put some races on the calendar so I have some training motivation
